TOPAS® COC grades have an average tensile modulus in the range of 2000 MPa (300 kpsi). They significantly enhance the stiffness of polyolefin film when used as a blend component, greatly improving the performance of PE bags, pouches and other packaging. This occurs even at low addition levels as illustrated in Figure 1. For example, a 10% blend of TOPAS COC with polyethylene raises film stiffness more than 100% while preserving a low haze level. The added stiffness allows downgauging to thinner and less costly film structures.
